Ice Skate Tracker is built to help you find ice skating rinks, track your training sessions, and improve your skills on the ice. This Privacy Policy explains how Ice Skate Tracker developed by VS1 PRO LLC ("we," "our," or "us") handles your information when you use the Ice Skate Tracker mobile application ("the App") and our companion website at skating2248.com. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
We designed the App to work primarily with data stored on your device. We do not require you to create an account, and the core features of the App — browsing rinks, logging sessions, exploring techniques, and spinning the challenge wheel — all function with locally stored data. The information we do collect is limited to what is needed for the App to operate and for us to understand how people discover it.
When you first open the App, a small amount of information is gathered automatically to keep things running smoothly.
Anonymous Identifier. The App generates a random, anonymous identifier the first time you launch it. This identifier is stored on your device and helps us understand general usage patterns. It is not linked to your name, email, or any personal account.
Device Language and Region. The App reads your device's language setting so it can display content in the right language.
Google Advertising ID. The App collects your device's Advertising ID for attribution purposes — that is, to understand how you discovered the App (for example, through a particular advertisement or an organic search on Google Play). You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalised advertising at any time by going to your device's Settings > Google > Ads.
Attribution Data. We use AppsFlyer, a third-party mobile analytics service, to understand where our users come from. AppsFlyer collects your Advertising ID, an installation identifier, the source that referred you to the App (such as an ad network or organic search), and the marketing campaign name, if applicable. AppsFlyer also collects standard device information (IP address, device model, operating system version) as part of its normal operation. Your anonymous identifier is shared with AppsFlyer as well.
You can learn more about how AppsFlyer handles data in their Privacy Policy.
The App stores your training sessions, favorite rinks, preferences, challenge history, and other app data locally on your device using on-device databases. None of this information is transmitted to our servers. You can delete all local data at any time by using the "Clear All Local Data" option in the App's settings screen, or by clearing the App's storage in your device's system settings.
The App includes a built-in browser that is used to display the Privacy Policy and the Support page directly within the App. The built-in browser supports standard web features, including cookies (including those set by third parties) and local storage. These are handled by the browser in the same way any web browser would handle them — they are not collected or stored by the App itself. Websites you visit through the built-in browser operate under their own privacy practices.
The App's Support page allows you to send us a message or report a bug. When you submit a support request, you may provide:
This information is submitted only when you choose to send a support request. We use it solely to respond to your inquiry and resolve the reported issue. The App itself does not access your camera directly — photo and video capture is handled entirely by your device's built-in camera app.
Everything we collect serves a clear purpose:
We do not use any of this information to build personal profiles about you or to serve you targeted advertisements within the App.
We do not sell your information. The only third party that receives data from the App is AppsFlyer, which processes attribution and advertising data as described above. AppsFlyer acts as a data processor on our behalf and is bound by its own privacy policy.
Some network connections in the App may use unencrypted HTTP. While the majority of communication uses HTTPS (encrypted), data sent over unencrypted connections could potentially be observed by others on the same network.
On-device data (your training sessions, favorites, preferences, and anonymous identifier) stays on your device until you clear the App's data or uninstall it.
Cookies and local storage from the built-in browser follow standard browser expiration rules and are removed when you clear the App's data.
Your Advertising ID is managed by Google Play Services on your device. You can reset it at any time in your device settings.
Attribution data held by AppsFlyer is retained according to AppsFlyer's data retention policies.
We take reasonable measures to protect the information associated with the App. Network communication uses HTTPS encryption by default. Your locally stored data is protected by your device's own security mechanisms (screen lock, encryption). However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You have several options for managing your data:
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate steps.
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and make the revised policy available within the App. We encourage you to check back periodically.
